My bio

I'm a water treatment scientist and postdoctoral researcher at the Université de Sherbrooke, working on the science and engineering of drinking water and wastewater treatment. With a PhD in civil engineering, a master's in environmental engineering, and proven field experience — starting out as a civil engineer, — I've spent my career at the intersection of civil infrastructure design, process design and modeling and regulatory intelligence, tracking how treatment standards evolve across Quebec, Canada, the US, and Europe. Recently, I was a core contributor to an AI-driven platform that helps engineers design water treatment systems faster and more rigorously. I'm especially passionate about closing the gap between cutting-edge research and the everyday decisions treatment plants have to make — which is why I write about regulation, technology, and best practices here. Looking ahead, I'm working toward bringing this expertise back to Africa, combining hands-on infrastructure design with university teaching.
